Worship Player: Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to Worship Player (“we”, “us”, “our”), a subscription-based service providing churches with access to a library of lyric videos, and related resources for use in services and gatherings. Worship Player comes under the registered business of Movation Productions Ltd. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Eligibility & Organisation Use

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

  • The Service is intended for use by churches and related organisations.

  • If you are subscribing on behalf of a church or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Subscription & Payment

  • Worship Player is provided on a subscription basis (monthly or annual plans).

  • Subscription pricing is displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time.

  • Payment is taken in advance of each billing period.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

  • By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation & Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

  • Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

  • If the Service is discontinued, we may issue a pro-rata refund for any unused subscription period.

Licence & Permitted Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Worship Player content strictly for:

  • Church worship services

  • Church-led gatherings and events

  • Rehearsals and preparation

  • Small groups/house groups

  • Personal worship times

You may:

  • Play lyric videos and backing tracks during services

  • Create playlists and arrange songs for worship sets

  • Use any of the built-in features (such as atmospheric pads)

You may not:

  • Share your account outside your organisation

  • Copy, download, distribute, or resell any content

  • Use the content for commercial performances, recordings, or redistribution

Merchant of Record

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Wayopay ("weio Ltd t/a Wayopay"), our merchant of record. Wayopay is the counterparty for the payment transaction, issues your invoice/receipt, handles tax collection and remittance, and will appear on your bank or card statement. Your purchase is also governed by Wayopay's Terms of Sale https://wayopay.com/terms and Privacy Policy https://wayopay.com/privacy. In the event of conflict between these Terms and Wayopay's Terms of Sale on payment, billing, tax, or refund matters, Wayopay's terms govern those specific matters. All other aspects of the Service (content, licence, account use) are governed by these Terms.

Streaming & Online Use

Worship Player content may be used in live-streamed or recorded church services (including platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, or other online platforms), and we grant permission for the use of our sound recordings for these purposes.

However, the use of underlying musical works (including lyrics and compositions) may require additional licences. Churches will typically require an appropriate CCLI Streaming Licence (often referred to as “Streaming Plus”).

Worship Player and its partners are not able to provide this type of licence. Please contact CCLI for more information: www.ccli.com

Content Library

  • Worship Player provides access to a curated and evolving library of songs and worship resources.

  • We do not guarantee that any specific song will remain available indefinitely.

  • Content may be added, removed, or updated at any time.

Account & Access

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • You agree not to share access beyond your church or organisation unless permitted.

  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts where misuse or unauthorised sharing is detected.

Service Features

Worship Player includes features such as:

  • Playback of worship songs in congregation-friendly keys

  • On-screen lyrics

  • Playlist creation and sequencing

  • Smooth transitions and atmospheric pads between songs

  • Adjustable vocal levels

We may update, modify, or remove features at any time.

Service Availability

  • We aim to provide a reliable and high-quality Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

  • The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

  • We are not liable for any disruption to services, rehearsals, or events resulting from downtime.

Offline Use and Licence Verification

Content is made available for offline use via download for active paying subscribers. To protect licensed content, the Service must periodically verify an active subscription by connecting to our servers. If the app is unable to verify subscription status after the current billing period has expired or is due for renewal, due to loss of internet connectivity on your device or network, previously downloaded content may become temporarily unavailable until connectivity is restored and will be deleted from the local device after 5 days of no active verification. We strongly recommend connecting to the internet ahead of any service, rehearsal, or event. We are not liable for content becoming unavailable as a result of your device being offline, including any impact on services, rehearsals, or events. This clause does not limit our liability for failures caused by our own systems or by a lapse in verification due to our error.

Usage Reporting

As a condition of our content licences, we are required to report song and content usage to rights holders and licensing bodies (such as record labels and publishers). By using the Service, you acknowledge that the app automatically records and transmits data about the content you play, including song identifiers, play counts, and timestamps, for the purpose of royalty reporting and licence compliance. Where practicable, this data is aggregated or anonymised before being shared with third parties.

Diagnostic Data

The app also collects technical diagnostic data, such as crash reports, performance metrics, device type, operating-system version, and feature usage, to help us maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. This data is used internally and is not sold to third parties.

Device Limit & Downloaded Content

Subject to your active subscription, you may download and access copyrighted songs made available through the app for personal or organisational use within your church or ministry. Downloads are limited to a maximum of three (3) authorised devices per account at any one time. You are responsible for ensuring that access is not shared, distributed, copied, or otherwise made available beyond your organisation. All downloaded content remains subject to applicable copyright laws and licensing requirements, and must not be used outside the scope of the permissions granted under this agreement.

Please contact us if you would like to increase your 3 device limit.

Changes to Terms & Pricing

  • We may update these Terms from time to time.

  • We may also change subscription pricing, giving reasonable notice.

  • Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Intellectual Property

All content, software, design, and branding within Worship Player are owned by or licensed to us.

No ownership rights are transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Subscription Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription fees from time to time. Where we do so, we will provide you with at least thirty (30) days’ prior notice of any change in price. Such notice may be provided via email or through the app. The updated pricing will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period. If you do not agree to the price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.
